About

My name is Niccholas Rodriguez Vidal and I was born on July 21, 1980.

I’m originally from Brazil, but I’m currently living in London, Ontario with my wife Debbie. I’ve also lived in West Lafayette, Indiana for 4 years, while my father was pursuing his Ph.D. at Purdue University; and in Grenoble, France for 1 year, while I was studying Telecommunications at INPG. These experiences abroad have permitted me to learn different cultures and languages.

Since early adolescence I was very found of books and computers. I remember that I’ve used to write interactive stories in BASIC. Years later, I won the Young Researcher award from my university for developing an educational storytelling multimedia CD. This was while I was studying Computer Engineering at UFRGS, one of the top universities in Brazil. I’ve later studied Computer Science at the same university, where I’ve developed ISS (Instant Syndicating Standards).

My professional goal is to disseminate education and culture by exploring the power of disruptive technologies. And I believe ISS plays an important part in reaching that goal.

Finally, my personal goal is to promote a profound and everlasting love. And I believe that nurturing family values is the best way to achieve that.
